A sculpture, a bench, a wave.
I created this sculpture as a piece of urban design during a sculpture symposium in Sardinia and, although I was working in the island’s hinterland, the sea was always present in my imagination when I thought of the island. Furthermore, the workspace was situated along the river that runs through the town. This gave rise to the idea of the wave and also to the idea of creating a sculpture where people could sit comfortably and watch the river flow by.

Una scultura, una panchina, un’onda.
Ho realizzato questa scultura come un elemento di design urbano durante un simposio di scultura in Sardegna e, anche se lavoravo nell’entroterra dell’isola, il mare era sempre presente nella mia immaginazione legata all’isola. Inoltre, il luogo di lavoro si trovava lungo il fiume che attraversa la città. Da qui l’idea dell’onda e anche quella di realizzare una scultura dove le persone possano sedersi comodamente a guardare lo scorrere del fiume.
