I aim to transport the viewer of my works into a universe where the harmony and balance of forms and surfaces express respect for the environment – whether living or inanimate – in relation to humankind and the spaces it inhabits. A minimalist language in which the power of sculpture combines with the poetry of nature, where links to Arte Povera blend with elements of ancient culture, and emotional, cultural and intellectual experiences merge into a profound and passionate perspective on the world.

Cerco di portare chi osserva le mie opere in un universo dove l’armonia e l’equilibrio di forme e superfici raccontano il rispetto per l’ambiente, vivente o inanimato, in rapporto con l’uomo e i suoi spazi.Un linguaggio essenziale in cui la forza della scultura sa coniugare la poesia della natura, dove i legami con l’arte povera si mescolano a elementi della cultura antica e le esperienze emotive, culturali e conoscitive si fondono in uno sguardo profondo e passionale sul mondo.

Urban nature / natura urbana

In 2020 the series of works "Urban Nature" was born, where I tried to find a strong and powerful language. I use stone flakes taking pleasure from this suspended time, and giving these remains a new form. It is a new, different and changing nature, where the process of working brings me into a state of reflection, of meditation. From the fragmentation of the rock that creates splinters that seem to become organic, come alive and vibrate between light and shadow, building large compositions. They are positive images of hope, as from the fragmentation of a static and lifeless world comes a "modern" nature that transmits strength and vitality. The works mutate and change over time. Mutability is a substantial part of these works, where each work made with partly natural materials is slightly modified over time, making it alive.

Nel 2020 nasce la serie di lavori "Natura urbana", dove ho cercato di trovare un forte e potente linguaggio. Uso scaglie di pietra traendo piacere da questo tempo sospeso, e conferendo a questi resti una nuova forma. E' una natura nuova, diversa e mutevole, dove il processo di lavorazione mi porta in un uno stato di riflessione, di meditazione. Dalla frammentazione della roccia che crea schegge nascono forme organiche, che sembrano animarsi e vibrare tra luci ed ombre, costruendo grandi composizioni. Sono immagini positive, di speranza, in quanto dalla frammentazione di un mondo statico e senza vita nasce una natura “moderna” che trasmette forza e vitalità.

Architettura urbana

In the recent series of works "Empty Cities" I sought ìthe contrast between the geometric shapes finished with perfectly smooth surfaces, which symbolize the perfection and cultural persistence of ancient architecture, in contrast with shapeless elements made with rough and scratched textures, representing the organic and irrational part of the world, opposition that leaves a sense of unease, with a reference to metaphysical painting, the empty cities of De Chirico, to the architectures of the EUR.

Nella recente serie di opere “Città vuote” ho cercato ìil contrasto tra le forme geometriche rifinite con superfici perfettamente lisce, che simboleggiano la perfezione e la persistenza culturale delle architetture antiche, a contrasto con elementi informi realizzate con texture grezze e graffiate, che rappresentano la parte organica e irrazionale del mondo, opposizione che lascia un senso di inquietudine, con un richiamo alla pittura metafisica, alle città vuote di De Chirico, alle architetture dell'EUR.
